What a month with the Backs getting all the way upto 9+ points in the early part of the month only to have a poor run just into a negative position only to turn around again and go upto 15.64 up. At least we have settled the end of the month in excess of 12 points. I presume most of you would have taken heed and only traded on the last couple of selections.
The Lays had a pretty reasonable month ending up at 17 points up, we normally expect them to be closer to 20+ points but we have had quite a few days without any selections which was unfortunate.
So overall a positive month with 29.64 points up on the month. I don't think anyone will grumble at that.

Well at last we have broken through the 12 point barrier. As I said a few days ago the results now are what we normally expect. A great shame the last let us down but ..............
Only 1 more racing day to the end of the month ( Sunday ) for us and as has been said before, we will obviously keep sending out the selections but those of you who have reached the target we now advise trading on them. Those of you who have joined during the month the choice is yours depending on how close to the 12 points you are.

Well the last horse has just run and given us a 2 out of 3 day on the Backs. Shame the other one didnt do the business as it leaves just over 1/2 point below our target of 12.
Never mind we have 3 more racing days to go yet .....
Well we are getting there slowly, but our recent results are more like what we are used to.
The Lays carry on performing and are now standing at 17 points and along with a 60% strike rate on the Backs today put them at 9.14 points making a total of 26.14 points on the month so far. Not bad.
With only a few more days in the month we are trying very hard to get over that 12 point marker and with a bit of luck we hope to do it tomorrow.
2 out of 3 won on the backs today. Which is great, however the Lay won and because this was the only lay of the day we carry the lose over until tomorrow.
Rather a disappointing day today with a loss of 2.75 points. We can get that back tomorrow. I think we were a little unfortunate with some of the places with 2 2nd's and 2 3rd's.
We are still 18.74 points up on the month but with a little luck turning our way we should increase on that before the end of the month.
Well the Lays are still plodding forward and we are now 15 points up. I hope Gwanako was alright after the horrendous fall which sent jockey Thomas into orbit.
Shame about the Backs with 3 out of 7 winning resulting a 1/4 point overall loss on the Backs. I felt Fairyland could have done better, and Similar Fashion in the last had it in the bag with less than a furlong to go and seemed to ease up letting the other two past. Once eased up it is very difficult to get them going again.
Things could have been so different, never mind thats racing, sometimes you get the break and sometimes you don't.
Another day of 50% on the Backs, and the other 50% were 2nd place, oh how things could be different. Lets not be greedy, things come to those who wait.
We are 20.73 points up on the month at the moment. Lets crack on when Sunday arrives and put the 12 point target to bed.

Hi everyone, the Lays have come up trumps again giving us 14 points lead on the month. The Backs have also put us into a recovery position with a 60% success rate, a shame about Fosool who completely missed the break which obviously put him at a severe disadvantage.
Well we now start the road to recovery on the Backs with a 50% strike rate today putting us to 1.8 points. We were a bit disappointed with Mamba and felt he could have done better, another 2nd.
The Lays are still going strong and at the moment todays are 3 out of 4 with one to go. Not that that matters as we were finished after the first race.
The Lays are performing well at the moment with a healthy 12 points profit on the month. The Backs, well what can you say, Scots Dragoon needs to be looked at because there must have been something wrong with him, being pulled up.
We have had 13 2nd places and alot of those were close calls, it could have been so different. Still we must carry on and keep the faith as previous records show that can be turned around quickly, and we are only just negative by 0.06 points.

The start of the week is mixed for us with the Lays giving us another point but the Backs again letting us down. I though Kayf Aramis had it in the bag until he was a bit heavy at the last. No matter it doesnt take long to turn the Back results around. Lets see what we can do tomorrow.
'Steady as she goes' I think .............today we got 1 out of 3 on the backs and the lay came in for us. We are still ahead for the month on the backs and the lays.
Hi everyone, The Backs let us down with both of them coming second. We feel Latanier probably had a bit knocked out of him when he stumbled at the 6th fence. He almost got there but thats racing. This has put us back to 7.32 points up and still within striking distance of the 12 point target.
The Lays gave us a positive result after the second selection was beaten into 3rd and results in us being 7 points up on the month.
Well that was a poor day for us, a tad unlucky with the last selection who did look the most dangerous before running out and crashing into the fence supports.
Never mind we are sure that we can put that right starting tomorrow, lets hope the weather improves a little as we have got some inspections first thing in the morning.
Lay came 1st and the back came 2nd - sill not to much damage on the lay side as it was 'odds on'. The back that came 2nd was well beaten by 19 lenghs! so it wasn't exactly close. The lay won by 1/2 length which is more nerve wracking.
Well not a bad week overall with 7.47 points profit on the Backs and 5 points up on the Lays, making a total of 12.47. The week was a bit of a roller coaster on the Backs with some heavy weather having caused some strange results in the latter half of the week and as for McCoy throwing his whip away and losing his irons, well what can you say!!!
Anyway we look forward to another good week next week and hopefully hit the 12 point target for the Backs earlier rather than later.

We have just sat and watched the last Grand Prix of the season and watched Lewis Hamilton win the World Title and kept us us all on the edge of our seats. A real shame if Malcolm Layed Hamilton as he indicated on Fridays Blog.
