Quite a good day even though we only had 1 Back but he romped home putting us up to 6.11 points after a very unsettled month. At least we are in profit.
The Lays had 2 wins out of 3 which gave a small profit for the day aswell.
When are the gods going to throw a few dice our way. We were so close to a good day, after the first Back selection came in, the 2nd got pipped at the post after trading down to 1.16, the 3rd was looking promising with his price dropping like a stone then fell, and finally the 3rd again was pipped on the post. I know thats racing but I think we are ready for a change for the better.
The Lays both got well beaten and even if you were following with straight stakes we are showing 11+ points.
Lets hope for some better results tomorrow................
The Lays came in again today, unfortunately we only had 1 out of 2 on the Backs but ended up slightly on the day. A little disappointed with the first selections run but there is nothing we can do about that.

Well at least the Lays did the business. However the Backs did not quite come up to scratch with the first being pulled up and the last 2 just fading away. Still not too much damage done but not what we would have liked on Valentines Day, or any other day for that matter.
Lets try and put it right tomorrow.........................
Well we still lost a meeting today at Carlisle but fortunately it did not have a major influence. We won 2 of the 3 selections giving us a 2.58 points return. Shame about PIVERINA that would have made it a very nice day, but lets not be greedy and be thankful.
Lets hope we have another nice day tomorrow, till then..........................
Today the Lays left themselves in a pretty neutral position after 1 out of the 3 won.
The Backs were a different story, we feel a bit unlucky with our first selection THE RAIN HUNTER just coming to challenge the leaders when he slipped up on the final turn. The area was checked by the course stewards after and it was decided to move the rail out to prevent a re occurrence, too late for us. The second selection won nicely but CAPEABILITY was left too late for his charge.
These things do go against us sometimes but when they change for the better we will be well placed. As we all know it does not take much to turn the tide so here's looking forward to tomorrow, assuming all the cards escape the weather. Sedgefield is up for an inspection at 0800 so fingers crossed....................
Well not a great start to the week with the first being a non runner and the second selection running out of steam at the end letting a 10/1 shot beat by a head.

The Backs gave us a mixed result with 1 win and 1 loss. We were very surprised at the 2nd selections performance, everything looked ok he went off odds on and just did not perform. A shame as that would have been a very nice day but at least we ended up on the day.
We lost Leicester today bringing us back to 1 selection for the Backs. If you watched the race you would probably had your heart in your mouth when we looked certain for another 2nd place. However lady luck smiled on us and it went our way with the leading horse falling at the last. ( How many times that happens ).
The Lays both were soundly beaten putting another couple of points on the board.
We lost Folkstone early on which only left us 1 Back selection, which was disappointing to say the least. The Lays pulled themselves back into a positive position.
