2 out of 3 on the Backs, not bad. Helped us to a better end of month figure of 6.68 points up. These have been frustrating times and it appears quite a few sites have had a rough time. Happily we have finished in a profit situation and can only hope that we are now out of it and look forward to a better April.
We only have tomorrows cards for the end of the week as there is no racing on Good Friday so will speak to you all in the morning................
Nice result for us today and puts a few decent points on the board. A shame the Lays let us down but there must be something we can do with them. We are still looking into it.
So far the weather has just been wet, lets hope the snow stays way up north........
A bit of a disappointing day with our Backs going down. As we said this morning, Triggerman was a positive bet when we first looked but as we went to press it had gone slightly odds on and would only be a selection if he went positive, which he failed to do even though some of you Backed him early his price just carried on dropping and he won. Good luck to those of you who took advantage but we must, for the sake of transparency, record it as a no bet.
Lets hope tomorrow brings us a bit more good fortune...............
Well not a bad end to the week but we must try and improve our Back results next week to get to a reasonable positive position. I feel the 2nd Back today was very disappointing but thats racing.
Look forward to Sunday with the 2nd Grand Prix, the clocks go forward and a new week for us. See you all then.......
Not a great start to the week. We though our 2nd Back left his run a bit late and was unlucky not to win as he did look the stronger. The Lay was beaten giving us a point anyway and puts them into a positive position.
Quite a good day for us with 2 winners 1 terrible loser and a non runner giving us a daily profit of 3.66 points. Lets try and carry on through the week.
A so - so day today a small profit on the backs and a small loss on the lays. Cheltenham was great as always but very sorry to hear about 'Casey Jones'
Well at last a brilliant day for us with 4 out of 5 Backs winning and all the Lays coming in as well.
We do feel that although we lost 3rd Back selection he was in a good position when hampered by a falling horse and made a massive effort to overcome it but not quite enough, how brilliant would that have been if he had managed it.
Still we have pulled ourselves back to just under break even with 4.52 points on the Backs today.
Lets try and keep it up next week..................
Looks like everything is out to get us with a virtually an odds on horse that shortened even more uncharacteristically battering a fence which effectively finished his challenge to some pretty dismal displays by others we had a pretty rubbish day. Then with the first 2 Lays actually winning well made us think that it was not going to be our day.
After saying that we must not get too despondent as only a couple of winners will turn the whole position.
The Lays ended up pretty even over the day but the Backs both let us down with the first selection coming on nicely with AP McCoy at the help then walloped the last fence pretty hard and after that it was all over, very disappointing. The second selection looked well beaten by the 2nd fav.
How on earth Tequilla Bob threw away that win I don't know. He passed You're so Vain away out then just stopped running. I was convinced that we had it in the bag.
Never mind not much damage so lets go on to tomorrow.....................
How the second lay won today was unreal, he was miles behind in 3rd place, when the first two brought each other down and he went on to win! thats racing. We about broke even on the backs so lets hope to push on tomorrow.
