Well an up and down day with a profit at the end of +1.14 points. Unfortunately not quite enough to get us back into a positive position. Its been a very long time since we have been negative in the Backs and typical that it happens on the back of a terrific month last month.
Overall we ended up 11 points up on the month including the Lays which also had a slow time, but ended up in profit.
Looking forward to the start of a new month and try and increase our annual Backs total of 84.27.
A bit flat today, the only back we had and it was a non runner. However the first lay was well beaten and we are now 12 points up on the lays for the month.

The Lay came in for us again giving us our point. Unfortunately the Back did not perform and I understand they have put that down to a going change. Not sure about that because Turning Top did look pretty useful. With only 1 Back today we have to take that on the chin and hope for a few more tomorrow.
Well the Backs certainly put us through it today with4 out of 6 losing and going 1 point down on the day. What on earth happened to the last selection ATHWAAB, for an evens shot to come last there must have been something amiss!!!
The Lays duly obliged at the first race and gave us our point for the day, shame the Backs lost it.
Those of you who only follow the Backs need not worry we are sure we will get back to a positive position before the end of the month, well we will do our very best.
Thanks for all of you who gave me your Best Wishes for the wedding, I will pass them on to my Son & Daughter in Law when they return from Honeymoon.
Onto more pressing matters, it has been pointed out that we had an error in our results ie Cherry Bee was declared as a winner on 12/6 1420 York. Thanks for that, it was a typing error and has now been corrected.
Fridays selections ended up neutral with the Back losing and the Lays eventually giving us the point back.
Today, both the Backs came in for us giving us a 100% and 2.3 points and the Lays came in on the second attempt after 2nd selection was declared a non runner.
Lets hope we can get these Backs into profit over the next few days and put some points onto of the 8+ on the Lays.
Well the Lays did it for us again on the first try giving us 6+ points. Unfortunately only 1 Back today and he came 3rd although it looked quite a close race.
Onto tomorrow and lets hope we have a few more Backs.
We seem to be stuck around the break even mark, lets hope for a breakout tomorrow. The lays are around +5 points and the backs are aound -1.5. We were abit unlucky today with a couple of 2nds.
The lay was well beaten and another point in the bag. The backs are just about breaking even, hopefully they will pull out and make a nice profit before the end of the month.

Well its a slow but positive recovery on the Backs with a 1.36 point increase, lets hope we get a few more races in a day so that we can get some decent points on the board.
The Lays came in for us on the first race, so thats that put to bed with another point for us.
Yet another neutral day on the Backs with only a slight profit, things will change soon.
The Lay was well beaten into 4th and has put us up another 1 point, shame about the mis calculation on Friday, some of you put the correct stake on and will now be sitting at 10 points for the month, but as we disclosed the wrong stake we will have to declare that before anyone shouts.
Well lets see what tomorrow brings........................
Not a great day for all sorts of reasons, firstly the backs did not do the business and we were a couple of points down on the day, secondly I gave out duff info on the betting stake for the Lay it should have been 16.27 plus the losses but I forgot the losses so only 16.27 went on the bet. So we are 1.02 ponts up instead of 8 Grrrrrrrrr.
So as we go into next week we are about all square give or take, so lets get them profits back next week.

Well a whole day of ups and downs with a disappointing day with the Backs ending 0.1 point up. Started off bad with our 1st selection having a terrible race after the going had changed to soft, thought they might have pulled him out. The 2nd which had a brilliant chance reared up in the stall after being there quite a while, something must have spooked him, any he was withdrawn, and so it went on. Nevermind, thats racing.
The Lays however lost a again making us 3 losers down then line.
Tomorrow is another day so lets hope for some better results.........................
Very frustrating day today with two very close races and both going against us. I thought the race at Hamiliton was in the bag! but thats racing. We will have our day and have them win for us.
We are about break even at the moment on the backs and the lays, but that can all change tomorrow.
Well at least the Lays came in for us after the 1st race putting us up 7 points.
What can I say about the dreadful Backs, 2 winners out of 8 selections is terrible, and the way some of those horses ran they should have been in donkey derby's.
It is not usual for us to have so many losers in 1 day but overall we were just 2.4 points down and as we all know it does not take long to recoup that so here's to tomorrow.......................................
The Lays did it again on the first race for us taking us to 6 points for the Month.
The Backs were 50% and a bit unlucky on the last being pushed into 2nd. Never mind we are still up on the day and now sitting at 3.55 points for the month.
Lets hope for more tomorrow...........................
Well what a rollercoaster this has been on the Back selections. At least we ended up in profit thats the main thing. Lets try and blast on next week and put some decent points on the table.
The Lays have done very well this week giving us a nice 5 points out of 5 days.
Overall 7.83 points up on the week, not bad but could do better.... reminds me of old school reports.

The Lays came up trumps again today, after the third time of asking but still another point to make 3 points for the month.
The Backs started off nicely but then went right of track losing us 2.22 points on the day with some fairly low priced horses just not performing. Still lets not get to down hearted, as we know we can pull that back very quickly and get back on track.
2 out of 3 backs won and the lay come in, not bad. We are now 4.28 points up on the backs this month and 2 points up on the lays. Which gives us a +6.28 combined total.
